As an entrepreneur you must pay the price to get a seat in the game… But you will only need the EDGE of your seat if you are fully engaged, as the entrepreneurial game is the most intense, exhilarating and exciting experience you will ever have. McKay Robert
Are you living your life in a way that is keeping you on the EDGE of your seat? Or have you joined the masses who have settled in, settled down and are just sitting back watching the world and their dreams go by? Many today are living their lives vicariously through the “lifestyles of the rich and famous,” reality television and other media which portray what seems to be the perfect life. Passively watching never leads to full engagement or forward movement.
Entrepreneurs are different and most are engaged and on their way. The challenges of today’s economy, however, have knocked many in the nose and caused some entrepreneurs to cower in the corner and others to sit back in a “wait and see” mode. The key to sustaining success and keeping your life and business on the EDGE of your seat is to keep leaning in, keep learning and keep striving for the best in every situation.
A wise man once said, “It is far better to lean into the stiff wind of adversity than it is to hunker down and do nothing!”
Take time today to evaluate your level of engagement. Not only in your business, but even in your approach to your EDGE experience. Are you sitting back and passively watching videos and listening to podcasts or are you sitting on the EDGE of your seat, soaking it in and visualizing ways to apply what you learn? Are you going the motions of reading through the challenges and exercises or are you setting goals and action plans to implement them into your work, business and personal life?
The time for sitting back is over. Make certain you and your employees or group are fully engaged. Life and business are always better when you are sitting on the EDGE of your seat!
